July...
Ok, so I havent been very efficient in contributing to my blog the last month or so.... besides, i dont think anybody reads it anyway. :) haha. Its mainly something for me to do when I'm bored. Soooo.... my internship is going great. I actually feel like I am making a difference in what I do and contributing to a worthy cause. This is unique given pretty much all other jobs I have had. Oh mercy how I hate Utah County jobs! Besides my job, Nat and I are keeping as busy as we can planning weekend activities. Last night we saw ABBA in concert...thats right..the 70's band Abba. It was surprisingly entertaining. Tonight we are going to the Salt Lake Bees baseball game with our friends. I just hate driving to and from Salt Lake this often. Our other summer plans include celebrating our anniversary, going to Seven Peaks, and possibly river rafting! :) Anyway...thats my life lately

Internship stuff
So that lovely picture i posted a couple days ago is the logo for the company i'm doing an internship for. They are a REIT, or basically a publicly-traded real estate investment company that focuses on self-storage properties. I am doing internal audit work for them. So far this week we have just been studying up on control/testing procedures. A lot of reading all day that makes me anticipate next week starting. Thats when the fun should really begin.
Besides work, not too much else is new. Natalee and I went to an adults-only primary barbeque that they have once a year at a member of the bishopric's house. It was good food, and fun to actually socialize with the other teachers without having to worry about bratty kids acting up. Overall, being in the primary has been a good experience, but it is really stressful atleast 50% of the time. (especially when our devil-child boy comes to class). but thats ok :)
Tomorrow we are going to the Manti "Mormon Miracle" Pageant. We are going to leave about 4 hours early to make it down there and stake out a spot before it gets too crowded with mormon folks w/ suburbans full of 10 kids each.

Trip Update
Ok, so our biggest summer vacation is now over :( It was awesome. We had a great time. Today was especially tough since we didn't want to come back home afterward. The Grand Canyon was sweet! We went on a few hikes and just enjoyed the time spent outdoors. In St. George we spent a large amount of time reading outside on the back porch of our house. It makes me miss it just writing about it :) thats ok...we will have to go again soon.

First ever blog
Ok, so this is my first ever attempt at a blog. My sister Melanie contributes to one, and it looks kind of interesting. So I figured I'd give it a try.
My wife Natalee and I are going to St. George & The Grand Canyon tomorrow (June 12 - June 15). It should be a lot of fun. I will be starting my internship at Extra Space Storage on Monday, so it will be a last hurrah before I get busy with that.
This should be our big summer vacation this year. With the economy the way it is, we cant afford to do anything more glamorous. Thats ok though, we will have a grand ol time. I havent been to the Grand Canyon since I was 6.
